Regular Maintenance Visits:
After the completion of a headstone, we offer complimentary storage for the first week. After the first week, a storage fee of R50 per week will apply. If the headstone remains uncollected for two months, the stone will be recycled.
Grass Cutting and Weeding:
Ensuring the surrounding area is free from overgrown grass, weeds, and debris, giving the grave a neat appearance.
Monument Cleaning:
Thorough washing of the entire monument to remove dirt, mould, and algae buildup that can accumulate over time.
Ground Leveling:
As graves can naturally sink over time, Swiss Stone Masons ensure that the ground remains level to prevent uneven settling.
Repainting of Inscriptions:
In cases where lettering has faded, Swiss Stone Masons provides repainting services to restore the clarity and visibility of inscriptions, preserving the monument's beauty and meaning.
Comprehensive Reports:
After every visit, Swiss Stone Masons provides detailed before-and-after photos of the gravesite. Clients also receive a report documenting the condition of the monument, allowing for early detection of any issues such as cracks, sinking, or fallen stones.
Guarantees and Additional Repairs:
Within 5-Year Erection Guarantee: For gravesites still covered under the 5-year guarantee from the initial monument erection, maintenance services can start immediately upon contract signing.
Please note that this guarantee applies specifically to the workmanship of the monument erection, ensuring that the structure remains secure and properly constructed. Any maintenance services required due to factors outside the scope of workmanship, such as environmental wear or third-party damage, will not be covered under this guarantee.
Outside of 5-Year Guarantee:
For monuments outside the guarantee period, Swiss Stone Masons first inspects the site to ensure there are no damages. If any issues are found (e.g., cracks or fallen stones), a quote for repairs will be provided before maintenance begins.
